That just might be what's different! ![]() What kind(s) of guitar(s) are you plugging into it? Some are just plain prone to hum, noise, RFI, "static", etc. Sometimes just by proximity, even without being on the same circuit! get the picture? Many electrical appliances don't play well with neighboring audio/musical instruments, and introduce hum and other weird noises. outlet circuit as a dimmer switch, a neon sign, a refridgeratoror chest-freezer, air conditioner, sump pump, iron lung, giant robot, mad scientist's secret lab. ![]() This can be a source of all kinds of bad noise, hum, static, etc.Īlso, you don't want to be plugged into the same A.C. (It's a little doojobbie that plugs into an electrical outlet on the wall in your house.) The little lights on it will be color-coded, and will tell you if everything is wired correctly there. Get an outlet tester at any well-stocked hardware store, Radio Shack, etc. Or is the noise there without anything plugged into its input? If you are going guitar>Digitech>amp, does it go away when you unplug the guitar cable from the 21 Pro? Let's further isolate and identify the ultimate source of the noise.ĭoes the noise go away when you pull the guitar cord out of the amp's input? (Assuming you have the unit in an Effects loop on the amp.) ![]()
